When you find a wedding venue like Circle Oak Ranch in Fallbrook, CA you may fall in love like my bride and groom, Carli and David, did.
Jennifer and Ron who own and run the ranch are the sweetest and most caring people you have ever met. They will seriously bend over backward to make sure their couples are having an amazing day, and when you want that personal touch, seeking out a venue like this can be pretty darn helpful on the day of your wedding. They make a strong foundation for your wedding team.
I arrived at Circle Oak Ranch in so much anticipation of this Fallbrook wedding. I absolutely adore Carli and David. They are just the sweetest and most easy going couple ever, and they fit together so perfectly. I love how they met rather casually at David’s birthday party and I also love how David took her down to Mexico at sunset on the beach to propose to her. It was very clear the first time I met them that they were meant to spend a lifetime together.
Typically, my couples do an engagement session with me before their wedding day, so they know exactly what to expect on the day of their wedding, but Carli and David had already gotten theirs done by the time they booked me. What I found out shortly after was they got their photos done by a photographer friend of mine named Lisa Riley, and she did an amazing job on their session so I knew they would be ready for their wedding!
I’m a strong believer in life happening for us and on purpose. Lisa shot their engagement session, but was not available on their wedding date, so Carli and David booked me. Then I moved to Fallbrook. See what I mean?
The other thing that happened was that Carli arrived to the venue not feeling very well. It’s like driving on curly ribbons to get to the ranch so I’m sure sitting in the backseat did not help. But she was such a trooper!! And her maid of honor and fellow red-headed soul sister was so supportive and amazing with her. It changed our schedule a bit, but what I've learned as a wedding photographer is to stay flexible, to be patient, and to know the art of quick decision making.
Through a process of quick decisions, my team was able to keep the ball rolling and by the time the ceremony rolled around, Carli was back up on her feet being walked down the aisle by her dad. She was wearing a very special detail... and that's her mother’s wedding ring in her memory.
Carli and David, even though day didn't go exactly as planned I still think that every single moment I captured was absolutely perfect. I’m obsessed with these images and I am SO happy that you regained your energy after the ceremony. It was so fun getting to enjoy the rest of your beautiful wedding and that jaw-dropping sunset view at the top of the property overlooking all those mountains. Just wow. You two are tough, and you are tougher together. I know you two will be able to get through anything together. Here’s to such a bright and beautiful future!
