Can I just say how much I love this family!? Seriously, they are some of the coolest people I have ever met and it was such a blast getting to capture this big milestone moment for them and capture their family portraits a couple of weeks prior (click here to view their fall family session)!
Baby Henley was born in the fall and so with that came a Pinterest-worthy fall themed one-year-old party at the new Farm Tables and More event space complete with a cake smash (cake from Sweet Cheeks Baking Co.). And it was delightful!
I just loved all the pumpkin, persimmon and pomegranate table decor. Anytime you can incorporate fruit and veggies into a tablescape that is right up my alley, especially if you get to take it home and eat it later! Plus, persimmons are my absolute favorite fruit of all time.
The day started with grandma and grandpa grilling up a feast by the entrance to the event and as it became party time families started to arrive and make their way into the intimate venue space finding a spread of arts, crafts and desserts. Baby Henley was so cute in greeting her guests and her young guests greeting her. At one point, mommy asked her to give a little pumpkin to one of her fellow babies and when she went to the other baby just stood there looking at her. It was such a cute moment.
As some of the families with older kids arrived, a came of football toss began. Baby Henley is very curious (I am SUPER curious). She’s not to much interested in smiling and looking at the camera as she is in putting a gorde in a cup of water and seeing what it tastes like. Or, in the case of the football, channeling her inner line back and getting cheered on as she ran the ball.
The cake smash was my absolute favorite part of the whole birthday party because it was the first time Baby Henley got to taste frosting and her reaction was PRICELESS. After first trying everything with her hands, squeezing the frosting in her fists, she finally put the first lick to her mouth and she lit up. A crowd of guests watched and giggled as Baby Henley with two hands starting to put the cake all over her face. It was ridiculously cute. Haha.
Such a fun time!!! Thank you Louthan family for trusting me to capture these beautiful memories. There was so much to remember and I’m so honored to have been the one to capture them. Here’s to many more beautiful Baby Henley moments!
